2019 Yellow Van Travels Stocking Stuffer Guide

Christmas is so close! If you’re still looking for some last minute gifts or stocking stuffers you’ve come to the right place! Here are 10 stocking stuffer ideas for the traveler in your life. If you still need some more gift inspiration you can see this year’s gift guide click here. You can also check out our gift guides from 2018, 2017 and 2016 as well as our stocking stuffer gift guide from last year.

  1. Letterfolk Passports: There are a ton of these to choose from, but there are a few that are specific to traveling. I got Ben the Country and National Parks passports last year and he has really enjoyed filling them out after our trips. The National Parks one is especially fun because there is a place to collect the stamps from each National Park.

  1. Travel Journal: I LOVE journaling and I am so grateful that I write about our travels in my journal. A travel journal would be great for any traveler to record their travels and be able to look back on all that they’ve done. Some of my favorites are here, and here.

  1. Kindle Paperwhite: I recommend this on basically every gift guide because it is one of the best gifts I have ever received! I got mine almost two years ago and it is a present that I literally use every single day. There are a few different options at different price points but this is the newest version of the one I have. Also, if you’re giving this as a gift (or if the person you’re giving to already has one!) a case is another great gift idea.

  1. National Parks Pass: While this is probably more on the expensive side for a stocking stuffer, it is definitely small enough to fit in a stocking! A National Parks pass is a great gift for a family of travelers. For one year, it will get them into all the National Parks, National Monuments and a few other National sites. And as far as annual passes go, they are very inexpensive! If you’re giving to a senior, there are also lifetime pass and annual pass options.

  1. Silicone Rings: If your significant other is into traveling, outdoors or any kind of sports, a silicone ring makes the perfect gift! We always wear ours when we travel so nothing happens to our wedding rings. Our favorites are Groove Life and Knot Theory. But there are also tons of options on Amazon.

  1. Cord Organizer Pouch: A pouch to organize all the cords is a great gift for any traveler. There are a ton of options, but we like ones that are small and have individual elastic loops to separate the cords.

  1. Packing Cubes: Also on every gift guide we have ever made. Packing cubes are definitely a game changer when it comes to traveling. If you’re getting some for a family make sure everyone has their own color!

  1. Laundry Bag: We always take a laundry bag with us when we travel, regardless of how long we are traveling! There is nothing worse than your dirty clothes hanging out with your clean clothes when you’re on the road. Having a small laundry bag gives you a place for those dirty clothes so they aren’t mixing with your clean ones.

  1. Luggage Tag: There are so many options with luggage tags that you can totally customize the tag to the person you are giving it to. Plus you can always use a new luggage tag.

  1. Travel Size Toiletries: Whether it is simply travel sized soap, shampoo and toothpaste, travel sized liquid containers or travel sized hand sanitizer, these are the perfect budget friendly way to fill your traveler’s stocking!

At Yellow Van Travels we hope you and your families have a very happy holiday season filled with fun memories, travel and experiences. We will be taking the rest of the year off to spend time with our families so we will see you in the new year!
