The Crayola Experience at the Mall of America

The Mall of America has more than just shopping! In addition to an aquarium, movie theater, mini golf, and an amusement park, the Crayola Experience also has a home there. Lucy and I were able to visit the Crayola Experience when we were visiting Minnesota in 2019. It was a really fun thing to do while we were killing some time at the Mall of America.

How to Get to the Crayola Experience:

The Crayola Experience is located inside of the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. It is located in the Southeast corner of the mall. The best parking is going to be in the East parking ramp.

What to do at the Crayola Experience:

There are a lot of things to do at the Crayola Experience! The website says to play on about 3-4 hours. We were there for about 2-3 hours, but we were only there with a 17 month old so we didn’t spend a lot of time at each of the activities.

There are over 20 hands-on activities to do and participate in. You can name and wrap your own crayons. Make art with melted crayons. Create your own coloring page. Draw and color in your own life-size town. Play at the Color Playground. Do lots of different crafts. Attend live shows and demonstrations. For a full list of current activities, check out the website here.

We had so much fun at the Crayola Experience. Even though Lucy was just little, she still had a good time. I loved that there were so many activities for so many different ages. It is definitely a place the whole family will enjoy.

Sum Up:

The Crayola Experience at the Mall of America is a great place to take the whole family. Check their website for current hours. Tickets are $20.99 for everyone ages 3 and up if bought online (they are about $5 more if you purchase at the door). There are always special offers and deals though, so check out their special offers page to see if you qualify for savings! I know for us, my ticket was free because we went during the week of my birthday.
