Playing at Edinborough Park in Edina, Minnesota

Because we have family living in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota we find ourselves there every year. It can be an awesome place visit, but because it can be very cold in the winter we are always looking for awesome indoor activities we can do. Edinborough Park is huge indoor play ground located in Edina, just south west of the Twin Cities.

What You Will Do at Edinborough Park

There are two main areas of the Edinborough Park, Adventure Peak and the Great Hall, both of which are fully indoors. An $8.00 will get children (age 1-12) into both areas. Anybody over 12 does not pay admission, but they must be accompanying a paying child.

Adventure Peak

The main attraction at Edinborough Park is Adventure Peak. It is a giant indoor playground. Think of it like a McDonalds playplace but huge and clean and way more fun. Full of tunnels, slides, ladders, and even tree this play structure is 37 feet tall and there is something new every time you turn a corner.

Honestly we took Lucy here, but I think I was probably the one who had the most fun. I loved play structures as a kid even though I have always been short I did eventually get too tall to be able to play in them any more. Adventure Peak though is designed to be large so that families can play together. Meagan is the tallest person in our family and she had no trouble playing here.

Because Lucy was little we started in the “Little Peak” area which is for children 4 and under. It was a good place to get started since Lucy is sometimes nervous when she starts something new. Soon though she was done with the little kid area and ready to climb up to the big slides.

When you go remember to bring your socks because they are required for anyone in the adventure peak area (shoes are not allowed).

Great Hall

The Great Hall is kind of a secondary feature of Edinborough Park. I don’t think you would come just to play in the Great Hall but it is fun when you need a break from climbing and sliding. It is essentially a large gym area. There are basketball hoops, trikes and scooter boards, and even a couple bouncy houses.

Lucy really enjoyed being pulled around the Great Hall on a scooter board or bike by her aunt.

The bathrooms are located in the Great Hall area, so keep that in mind too if you have an emergency at the top of Adventure Peak.

Sum Up

Edinborough Park is great place to visit if you are in the Twin Cities area. I really like that they only make you pay for the children, since so many places actually charge you more for adults to go to something with their kids. I also really like the adults can play with their children since the structure is made for people of all sizes.
