In the past when we have traveled internationally, we always take our Travelon Anti-theft bag and my travel scarf and have felt completely safe carrying our passports, money and other important items in those two things. But on our most recent international trip, we knew we would have to switch up how we carried our most important items. We were traveling with Lucy, our one year old daughter, and knew we would need to be carrying her diaper bag and we also planned on carrying her in our Lillebaby carrier instead of taking a stroller, thus limiting the ability to carry our regular travel bags.
So we were looking for a safe and secure way to carry things like money, passports, my phone and our cruise cards. I came across the RooSport pouch at a conference I was at and knew it would be a great item for us!
Features of the RooSport Pouch
The RooSport Pouch is a magnet pouch that is secured on the inside of your waistband. Originally designed for runners, the magnetic flap flips over your waistband and magnetizes the the pouch that sits inside your waistband.
They have a couple different sizes of pouches that you can choose from based on what you need (usually it is based on the size of your phone). The pouch has an open pocket that is easy to slip your phone (or in our case 3 passports!) into. Inside the pouch there is also a zippered pocket that can hold credit or debit cards or cash. On the magnetic flap that goes on the outside of your waistband, there is also a small zippered pocket that is great for holding small items like a key, chapstick or headphones. If you’re looking to use this pouch while running, there is also a small hole in the main pocket for your headphone wire to come out of.
Why I Like the RooSport Pouch
I really liked the security of having the pouch right next to my hip. I wore mine on the front of my waistband, near my hip so it could be easily accessible by me but not noticeable to others.
Like I mentioned earlier, I thought it was a great size. I could hold my phone which made it easy to access to take quick pictures while we were out. Or if I didn’t need my phone, I could hold all 3 of our passports in the same pocket. They stayed nice and safe, close to me the whole time.
The RooSport Pouch is very small. It was easy to pack and travel with when I didn’t need it. And it didn’t feel in the way or annoying when I was wearing it.
This pouch is so versatile and I can use it for many activities. I can use it when I’m running or exercising since many of my exercise clothes don’t have any pockets. I can use it when I’m hiking as an extra pocket as well. I can also use it to securely hold our passports, money and my phone as we are traveling.
