2021 Year In Review

At the beginning of each year we like to look back at the previous year and remember and review all the wonderful places we got to visit and the fun trips we were able to go on. Since 2021 continued to be another crazy year, and the fact that we had a baby made our travels NOT look like normal. But, we were able to take two pretty big trips at the back half of the year. Let’s get into the review!

January

In January we headed south for some sunshine! We went to Arizona for a long weekend and spent time at Saguaro National Park. Make sure to keep your eyes out for our blog posts on that trip coming out over the next few weeks.

February

In February we hung out at home. Ben and I were both busy with school and we really needed the time at home to catch up on life!

March

In March we took a weekend trip to Las Vegas for my birthday. We did a lot of fun, family friendly things including visiting the Neon Museum (one of our favorite things!), going to the children’s museum, and seeing the natural history museum.

April

April was the end of the semester for Ben and I so we spent a lot of time wrapping up projects and assignments. Sadly no travels in April.

May

In May we took a trip to St. George to see 2 Tuacahn shows. We made a fun little trip out of it and stayed at a fun, new hotel, went to the Children’s Museum, swam, ate yummy food, and enjoyed Tuacahn.

June

June was our biggest travel month of the year. We went on two trips! 😂 Two trips in a month is definitely not usually what we consider busy but that was our reality this year. We spent a few days in Minnesota visiting my family and seeing my sister graduate from high school. And we also went on a weekend camping trip to Bryce Canyon with Ben’s mom.

July

No travels in July because we had our baby! Sweet Isla Ann joined our family at the end of the month and has been such a sweet baby!

August

Again in August we did not travel any where as I was still recovering from having a baby and we were getting ready to start out busiest semester yet!

September

Even though this was our busiest semester ever, we snuck away for a week at the end of September and spent 4 days in Disneyland! We have never spent that long at Disneyland before but we had such a great time and enjoyed being able to go at a slower pace, especially with an almost 4 year old and a 9 week old!

October

October brought another busy month of school and work but we were able to spend a week in Hawaii with my mom and Grandma. It was such a beautiful trip and we really enjoyed spending some relaxing time together as a family. Isla and Lucy both did great on the flights and had such a great time at the beach!

November

In November Ben and I snuck away for a night to go down to see a comedy show in St. George at Tuacahn. It was fun to get away from the busyness and see a show we both enjoyed.

December

In December we stayed home and celebrated Christmas and New Years as a family. It ended up being a really snowy month and would have been difficult to travel around the holidays. But we ended up having such a nice time at home together as a family.

We are looking forward to 2022 and already have some BIG travel plans and ideas! We are going to be celebrating some pretty major milestones in our lives and we all know that the best way to celebrate is to travel!
