Exploring Fawn-Doe-Rosa in Wisconsin

When we were in Minnesota last summer, we made a quick trip to Wisconsin to see some things right across the border. One of those things was Fawn-Doe-Rosa in St. Croix Falls. Fawn-Doe-Rosa is a family wildlife park with lots of animals to see, feed, and pet.

How to Get to Fawn-Doe-Rosa:

Fawn-Doe-Rosa is located in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, right over the Wisconsin/Minnesota border. It is located just on US Highway 8. The address isĀ 2131 US Hwy 8.

What to Do at Fawn-Doe-Rosa:

Fawn-Doe-Rosa is split into a few main areas and activities. First there is the deer yard. This area is when you first walk in and there are deer simply walking all over the place! You can walk right up to them and pet and feed them. They are very sweet and love people!

The next area is one of the main areas of the park. It is a large portion of Faw-Doe-Rosa where you can view lots of different animals in cages. They have lots of animals that you would find in many Midwest areas like wolves, foxes, elk, otters, porcupines, etc. These animals they ask you not to feed since they are on special diets that are taken care of by the animal caretakers.

The next area you will see is the farmyard area. This is set up like a normal farm yard and you can feed and pet the various animals that you will see here. Some of the animals are behind fences while others freely roam in this area. The baby goats were our favorites!

Sum Up:

Fawn-Doe-Rosa is a fun family adventure, especially for those who like animals. Lucy and I had a really good time while Ben tolerated the experience for us. We loved being able to be close to so many animals that we got to pet and feed. The fact that they had so many animals that just roamed around the property made it a very unique experience that we had not had before.

Fawn-Doe-Rosa is open at various times depending on the time of year. For a full list of opening and closing times, check out their website here. Tickets for adults are &9.75 and children 2-12 are $8.75. You can also purchase feed for the animals at $2.50 per bucket. When we went with my mom and my sister, we ended up with 5 bags of food and it was plenty for everyone to feed the animals.
