Yellow Van Travels

2 Day Boston Travel Guide

Boston is a beautiful city with lots of things to do! When we went to Boston we only had two days to spend in the city and we wanted to make the most of it. So here is our travel guide for spending two days in Boston.

Day 1:

We spent our first day in Boston doing more historical things and getting a lay of the land. We started out our day at Faneuil Hall and the Quincy Market and walking along part of the Freedom Trail. You can get some Bruch or yummy lunch at Quincy Market. We stopped there for lunch and then went to a couple of fun shops around the area including an adorable Christmas shop.

After lunch, we went to Boston Harbor where we got on a small ferry to take us over to the other side of the harbor. We walked up to Bunker Hill and went to the visitor’s center there. And then we walked back towards Boston Harbor and went to the USS Constitution.

After our tour of the USS Constitution we took the ferry back across the harbor and walked along the Freedom Trail. We walked through a really nice park and ended up at the Museum of Science where we used our Boston City Pass and spent the rest of the evening.

Day 2:

Our second day in Boston was the day we were flying out. We started out our day at Boston Common, a beautiful park with a fun kids area, and ate a quick breakfast before heading over to the New England Aquarium (also on our Boston City Pass) where we had them hold our bags. We explored the aquarium while we waited for our Boston Harbor Cruise to start. We got on our cruise and got a good historical tour of the harbor.

When we got off our cruise, we went to Little Italy and ate at Mike’s Pastry and a yummy pizza place and walked along the Freedom Trail again to see the Old North Church and Paul Revere’s home. From there we took the T (Boston’s Metro) and went to the Skywalk Observatory, the last thing on our Boston City Pass. We got great views of the city as well as a good audio guide about what we were seeing. We left the Skywalk Observatory and headed back to the New England Aquarium where we finished up our tour there, grabbed our bags they were holding for us and took the T to the airport to catch our flight.

Sum Up:

Boston is a really fun city and you can really spend so much time there. But if you’re there for just a little bit, you can definitely hit a lot of the highlights in 1-2 days. You can do more of a historical tour and do lots of things for free or very inexpensively. Or you could do more of a modern Boston tour and use the Boston City Pass. Or you can do what we did and do a little bit of both!
